Curtiss C. Dosier brings over two decades of expertise in intellectual property (IP) law, offering executive-level counsel tailored to his clients' needs. He works collaboratively to gain a comprehensive understanding of their products and business objectives, leveraging his in-depth knowledge of IP law to craft customized, pragmatic strategies that deliver outstanding results.
With a wide-ranging background in all facets of IP law—including utility and design patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and data privacy—Curt has successfully built and managed high-value U.S. and global patent portfolios. His efforts have generated substantial licensing revenues, facilitated acquisitions, and helped clients maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace. Curt excels in addressing complex patent issues, successfully defending and challenging patents in reexaminations and inter partes reviews (IPRs). He is also skilled in negotiating high-value technology licensing agreements and routinely assists clients in identifying and mitigating IP risks. By engaging early in the product development process, he helps guide design direction while establishing and documenting non-infringement and invalidity positions.
Curt has worked with a diverse range of businesses, from start-ups to multinational corporations, across various industries including automotive and transportation, sporting goods, medical devices, construction, tactical products, fashion and apparel, and clean tech. His extensive knowledge spans respiratory therapy systems, off-road trucks, vehicle suspension technologies, bicycle and motorcycle technologies, and fire-rated construction joint systems.

BS in Mechanical Engineering from GMI Engineering and Management Institute and his JD from the Ohio State University College of Law.
